Lockheed Martin Corp.’s F-35 fighter has been released on a limited basis from a grounding order imposed after an engine fire, suggesting no major flaws have been detected and boosting prospects for a star turn at Farnborough Air Show.

Authorities from the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force approved the return to flight yesterday despite an ongoing investigation into the cause of the engine failure, the U.S. Department of Defense said.
