Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called for the development of a satellite that will provide services for South Asian nations as he hailed the country’s space program.
The satellite will be a “gift” for the eight-member South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, Modi said today at the Sriharikota space center. Modi last month became the first Indian prime minister to invite all SAARC leaders to his inauguration, including Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
