Serbia is holding a meeting with potential global donors seeking aid to recover from devastating floods as its public finances are deteriorating.

The damage caused by the worst flooding in Serbia’s history amounts to “hundreds of millions of euros,” with 3,500 kilometers (2,175 miles) of roads damaged, Transportation Minister Zorana Mihajlovic said in an interview with TV broadcaster Pink. The Chamber of Civil Engineers estimates the damage at around 1 billion euros ($1.37 billion).
