Venezuela to Hold New Talks With Opposition as Expectations Wane

Venezuela’s government is set to hold new talks with the political opposition today after a meeting last week failed to end 10 weeks of protests that have left at least 41 people dead.
Vice President Jorge Arreaza will host the meeting with members of the opposition’s Democratic Unity Round Table alliance today at 6:00 p.m. Caracas time, the Information Ministry said yesterday in a statement.
