Apotex Inc., a closely held Canadian drugmaker, became the latest company to have medicines made in India banned from the U.S. by regulators because of safety concerns.
The Food and Drug Administration issued an import alert against Apotex’s Bangalore site yesterday for the company’s drugs and antibiotics. The alert attributes the ban to the plant’s failure to meet manufacturing standards.
