KKR Said to Seek Up to $4.9 Billion for Fourth European LBO Fund

KKR & Co. LP, the private-equity firm led by Henry Kravis and George Roberts, is seeking as much as 3.5 billion euros ($4.9 billion) to invest mostly in Europe, according to two people familiar with the situation.

KKR’s fourth European fund, which is trying to raise at least 3 billion euros, is expected to be smaller than the $6.1 billion gathered by the prior pool in 2008, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the information is private.
