Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff and Sepp Blatter, the head of world soccer body FIFA, were jeered the last time they addressed a stadium crowd. They won’t make the same mistake when the World Cup kicks off in June.

Blatter, FIFA’s 78-year-old president, said there won’t be any speeches when the 32-team tournament begins with a game between host Brazil and Croatia in Sao Paulo’s Corinthians Arena on June 12.
