Bulgaria is stockpiling natural gas in its only storage facility in case Russia halts exports of the fuel amid its intervention in Ukraine.

Supplies would last about two months including local production, Bulgarian Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski told legislators today in Sofia. Stockpiling of gas at the storage facility, near the northwestern village of Chiren, began last week, he said.
