Cape Wind Associates LLC, the developer seeking to build the first offshore wind farm in the U.S., arranged a $600 million loan guarantee from Denmark’s export credit agency EKF.

“It’s a validation that Cape Wind is an important project,” Jim Gordon, founder and owner of Boston-based Energy Management Inc., the parent of Cape Wind, said today in an interview. “It can help catalyze the offshore wind industry in the United States.” He declined to discuss the terms.
