Swedish Krona Slumps as Price Drop Adds Pressure on Riksbank

Sweden’s krona slumped after a report showed consumer prices dropped the most in more than five years, adding to pressure on the central bank to deliver another interest rate cut.

The krona fell today as much as 0.9 percent against the euro to 8.9182, the lowest level since Jan. 10. It slid as much as 0.8 percent versus the dollar to 6.504. It was the biggest loser against both the dollar and the euro of major currencies tracked by Bloomberg.
