Rebar Touches 17-Month Low as Inventory Gains After Holiday

Steel reinforcement-bar futures dropped to the lowest level in more than 17 months as stockpiles of the building material climbed amid weak demand after Lunar New Year holidays.

Rebar for May delivery on the Shanghai Futures Exchange fell 1 percent to 3,386 yuan ($559) a metric ton, the lowest close for a most-active contract since September 2012.
