Acer Inc. posted a record annual loss after falling sales and asset write-offs prompted the Taiwanese personal computer maker to change its leadership.

The net loss was NT$20.6 billion ($685 million) in 2013, the Taipei-based company said in a statement today, wider than the NT$15.1 billion average of 25 analysts’ estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
