Rebar Rises to Seven-Week High on China Demand Growth Outlook

Steel reinforcement-bar futures in Shanghai rose to the highest level in seven weeks on speculation that economic growth in China will support demand.

Rebar for May delivery, the most-active contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange, climbed 0.4 percent to close at 3,709 yuan ($609) a metric ton today, the most since Oct. 15.
