Russia Opens Criminal Case Against Ex-Defense Minister

Russia opened a criminal case against former Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov, the most senior official to be fired over corruption by President Vladimir Putin.
Serdyukov has been charged with criminal negligence, which carries a maximum sentence of three months in prison or a year’s community service under the Russian criminal code, according to a website statement today by the Investigative Committee.
