Ontario Teachers Appoints Kozun to Replace Mock in Team Shuffle

Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Canada’s third-largest pension manager, appointed Wayne Kozun senior vice president of fixed income and alternative investments, as part of an investing team shuffle.

Kozun, who is senior vice president of public equities, replaces Ron Mock, who succeeds Jim Leech as chief executive officer on Jan. 1, the Toronto-based fund manager said today in a statement.

Jane Rowe will keep her title as senior vice president of Teachers’ private capital unit, and will also be responsible for the long-term equities group and will replace Mock on the board of directors of Cadillac Fairview, the fund’s real estate unit.

Other role changes in the investment team include Michael Wissell, senior vice president of tactical asset allocation and natural resources, who will replace Kozun. Ziad Hindo, currently a vice president of global opportunities and natural resources, will replace Wissell.

All the appointments in the division, headed by Neil Petroff, are effective Oct. 21. Teachers’ manages C$129.5 billion ($124 billion) in assets for 303,000 members in Ontario.
