San Bernardino Workers Withdraw Challenge to Bankruptcy

The San Bernardino Public Employees Association withdrew its objection to the city’s eligibility for bankruptcy protection while the city dropped its effort to reject collective bargaining agreements with the union.

The agreement leaves the California Public Employees’ Retirement System as the sole challenger to the city’s effort to declare bankruptcy.
