Mugabe’s Party Hails Zimbabwe Vote, Tsvangirai Claims Fraud

Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe’s party hailed yesterday’s general elections as fair after his main rival, Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, called them a “sham.”
“Everything was free and fair,” Saviour Kasukuwere, a politburo member of Mugabe’s Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front party, said today by phone. The results “are smelling very good” for Zanu-PF, he said.
