Bank of America Corp., the second-largest U.S. bank, estimated that its ratios of capital to total assets are close to the proposed U.S. minimum.
The bank disclosed that its so-called supplementary leverage ratio was between 4.9 percent and 5 percent in the second-quarter. The ratios at the Charlotte, North Carolina-based lender’s U.S. deposit-taking and credit-card units exceed 6 percent, Chief Financial Officer Bruce Thompson, 48, told reporters on a conference call.
