SunPower Says Solar Power to Become Standard on New Homes

SunPower Corp., the second-largest U.S. solar manufacturer, expects photovoltaic panels to become a standard feature in new home construction in the U.S., Chief Executive Officer Tom Werner said.
The company supplies seven of the top 10 U.S. home builders, including KB Home, Lennar Corp. and Standard Pacific Corp., and almost 10,000 new homes have panels from San Jose, California-based SunPower, Werner said today in an interview.
