Taliban Say They Seized 11 People After Helicopter Crashed

Taliban guerillas said they kidnapped 11 people whose helicopter crashed near the eastern border with Pakistan.

The lives of those seized are in danger as they worked with foreign forces, Mullah Tayeb Akhund, a Taliban commander in Logar province, said by telephone today. Eight Turks and one Afghan citizen were captured after the helicopter came down yesterday in the Azra district of Logar province, Azra Governor Hamidullah Hamid said by telephone.
