In Boston Attack, the Best Response Is Resiliency

April 16 (Bloomberg) -- Ten years ago, a Palestiniansuicide bomber detonated himself at a cafe in the German Colonyneighborhood of Jerusalem. Seven people were killed, includingDavid Applebaum, an American-born emergency-room doctor who hadtreated countless victims of previous attacks. Applebaum wasvisiting the cafe, called Cafe Hillel, that evening with hisdaughter Nava, who was to be married the next day. Nava was alsokilled.
The next day, I went to Cafe Hillel to report on theaftermath. To my surprise, it was open for business. There wasstill debris on the street, but the blood had been washed away,the glass had been swept up and coffee was being served.
