Euro-area construction output fell the most in four months in January as slumping activity in France and Spain offset a gain in Germany.
Construction in the 17-nation euro area decreased 1.4 percent from December, when it rose 0.3 percent, the European Union’s statistics office in Luxembourg said today. The December figure had earlier been estimated as a 1.7 percent drop. From a year earlier, January construction fell 7.3 percent.
