Fog has idled 10 ships bound for Houston, the largest U.S. petroleum port, the U.S. Coast Guard reported.
Another 12 ships are waiting to depart, Lieutenant David Vihonski, a Coast Guard watch supervisor, said today in a telephone interview. Pilots suspended boardings at 11:15 p.m. local time yesterday because of reduced visibility from dense fog, the Coast Guard said.
