Nov. 5 (Bloomberg) -- In his interview with the Des MoinesRegister in Iowa, outlining his priorities for his second term,President Barack Obama made some brief remarks that received toolittle attention:

“I’ve expressed a deep desire and taken executive action toweed out regulations that aren’t contributing to the health andpublic safety of our people. And we’ve made a commitment to lookback and see if there are regulations out there that aren’tworking, then let’s get rid of them and see if we can clear outsome of the underbrush on that. Again, that’s something thatshould be non-ideological.”
