JFE Engineering Unit to Build Six Solar-Power Plants

JFE Holdings Inc.’s (5411) engineering unit will develop six solar-power stations in Japan with a combined capacity of 40 megawatts.
Four plants will begin operating next year, one in April 2014 and the last in January 2015, the company said in a statement today. Power from the facilities will be sold to local utilities, according to the statement, which didn’t disclose financial terms.
The plants will be built in Mie, Hokkaido, Okayama, Miyagi, Tochigi and Shizuoka prefectures.
