Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez to Travel to Brazil Next Month

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said today that he will travel to Brasilia on Dec. 7 for a meeting of the Mercosur trade bloc.

A delegation from Brazil’s Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Economico e Social, or BNDES, will visit Caracas on Nov. 12 and 13, Chavez said on state television with Brazil’s foreign minister Antonio Patriota.

Brazil’s President Dilma Rousseff may visit Venezuela in January, Patriota said.
