Ausone Leads Christie’s London Wine Sale With Margaux, Mouton

A case of Chateau Ausone 2000 from Bordeaux’s Saint-Emilion region fetched the top price of 9,200 pounds ($14,800) at a Christie’s International Plc wine sale in London today, the auction house said in an e-mailed statement.
A case of Chateau Margaux 1990 took second slot, fetching 7,475 pounds, while 12 bottles of Chateau Mouton-Rothschild 1982 sold for 6,900 pounds, Christie’s said. The auction fetched a total 492,000 pounds, with 99 percent of the lots selling.
