Petrus 2009 Fetches $50,190 as Top Lot at Hart Davis Hart Sale

A case of Chateau Petrus 2009 fetched $50,190 at Hart Davis Hart’s September wine sale in Chicago, with a case of the same producer’s 1982 vintage taking second slot at $45,410, Hart said in a statement yesterday.
The auction, which took place Sept. 15, was 100 percent sold and fetched a total of $3.45 million, Hart said. The third-highest lot was a case of 1982 Chateau Lafite-Rothschild, which fetched $35,850. All prices are inclusive of a 19.5 percent buyer’s premium.
