Japan Doubled Gabon’s Rabi Blend Oil Imports in July, Meti Says

Japan doubled imports of Rabi Blend crude from Gabon in July from a month earlier, according to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.

Japan imported 521,428 kiloliters, or 3.3 million barrels, of Rabi Blend in July, compared with 245,884 kiloliters in June, data posted today on the ministry’s website showed. It didn’t import any Rabi Light last month.

The nation also bought 49,539 kiloliters of Abu Attifel crude from Libya in July, compared with zero for June, the data showed.

Japan didn’t buy crude from any other African nation in July. In total, the nation imported 570,967 kiloliters of crude from Africa last month, 61 percent more than 353,549 kiloliters in June, the data showed.
