Fiat’s Tofas Unit Is Working on Four New Models, Hurriyet Says

Fiat SpA (F)’s Turkish joint venture, Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (TOASO), is planning to produce four new models in Turkey, Hurriyet reported, citing Kamil Basaran, Tofas’s chief executive officer.

Basaran said the models include sedans and vans, according to the newspaper.

The company will delay the introduction of its Doblo van model in the U.S. to the start of 2014, scrapping an earlier plan to sell it from the first quarter of next year, Hurriyet said. The aim is a 14 percent market share, the newspaper cited Okan Bas, the brand director, as saying.
