Syrian Clashes Kill 73 Mostly Near Damascus, Al Jazeera Reports

Clashes between the Syrian army and opposition groups seeking to topple President Bashar al-Assad have killed 73 people today, Al Jazeera television reported, citing the Syrian Network for Human Rights.
Most of today’s dead were in Damascus and its surroundings, the group said. The Free Syrian Army, an opposition group, has gained control of the Al Yarmouk police station in the capital, the Doha-based channel reported, citing the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, another opposition group.
