Japan has one of its 50 reactors operating with a capacity of 1,180 megawatts, or 3 percent of the total, according to data compiled by Bloomberg News.

Kansai Electric Power Co. restarted the No. 3 reactor at its Ohi nuclear power plant in western Japan’s Fukui prefecture yesterday, ending a two-month period for the country without an operating reactor.
