Turkey Expects Tourism Income to Rise to $25 Billion, Star Says

Turkey’s tourism income will rise to more than $25 billion this year from $23 billion last year as tourist arrivals remain stable around 31 million, Star newspaper reported citing Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay.
Tourism to the country may rise despite the negative impact from the European financial crisis, diplomatic problems with Israel and fighting in neighboring Syria, the Istanbul-based newspaper quoted the minister as saying.
