Amazon.com Ships Kindle Touch 3G Today, Was Planned for April 27

Amazon.com Inc. has started shipping the Kindle Touch 3G to customers in 175 countries and territories around the world, the Seattle-based company said today in a statement.

The device, which Amazon previously said would ship April 27, is an electronic-reader with 3G wireless and a two-month battery life, Amazon said.
