Yemen Says 12 Killed in Latest Fighting Between Al-Qaeda, Army

Yemen’s Defense Ministry said eight suspected al-Qaeda militants and four security personnel died today in clashes in the southern port city of Aden.

Two soldiers and two Islamic militants were injured in the fighting in the Jawallah area in the north of the city, the ministry said on its website today.
