Nomura Said to Be Involved in Inpex Insider-Trading Case

Nomura Holdings Inc., Japan’s largest investment bank, was involved in an insider-trading case connected to Inpex Corp.’s 2010 equity offering, according to a person with knowledge of the matter.

Chuo Mitsui Asset Trust & Banking Co. obtained non-public information from an employee of one of the lead underwriters on Inpex’s sale, Japan’s Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission said in a statement yesterday.
