DLA Piper Hires Insurance Attorney William Marcoux From Dewey & LeBoeuf
DLA Piper LLP (1191L) hired William C. Marcoux, a partner at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP (1151L), as the firm expands its insurance industry practice.
Marcoux, 55, formerly the co-head of Dewey’s insurance sector group and a member of its executive committee, has 30 years of experience in complex global insurance industry transactions, DLA Piper said in a statement. He will join DLA Piper as a partner, and as the head of its insurance sector transactions and regulation practice.
“This is a great opportunity for us to strengthen our sector capability across the firm as Bill’s experience and relationships are truly global,” Nigel Knowles, joint chief executive officer of DLA Piper, said in the statement.
DLA Piper, an international law firm with more than 4,200 lawyers, was ranked the third-highest grossing law firm in fiscal 2010 with revenue of $1.96 billion, according to the American Lawyer, a trade publication.
