Cash Gold, Futures Extend Gains to Highest Level in Eight Weeks

Gold for immediate delivery rose for a third day, climbing as much as 0.5 percent to $1,751.97 an ounce, the highest level since Dec. 8. It last traded at $1,750.85 an ounce by 9:10 a.m. Singapore time. December-delivery futures gained as much as 0.4 percent to $1,756.70 an ounce, also the highest since Dec. 8 and rising for a third day.
