JRD Holdings Inc. plans to begin selling alcohol to restaurants and stores in the United States, the Sunday Independent reported, citing Nathan Kirsh, the South African billionaire with a controlling state in the company.

The food and beverage distributor, which operates under the name Jetro and has annual revenue of $7 billion, will need to secure about 250,000 cases of wine a week to supply its 400,000 clients, Kirsh said, according to the Johannesburg-based newspaper.
