Canada to Pull Out of Kyoto Protocol Next Month, CTV News Says

Canada will announce next month that it will withdraw from the Kyoto Protocol, CTV News reported, without saying how it obtained the information.

The Canadian government has tentatively planned an announcement for a few days before Christmas, according to the CTV News website. The report comes as nations gathered in Durban, South Africa to discuss a global climate agreement for the period after 2012.
