Brazil Wind Farms to Surpass Other Energies in Bid, Analyst Says

Wind farms may receive the majority of contracts to sell electricity in Brazil’s next government-organized auction due to a lack of projects using other energy sources, an analyst at Itau Unibanco Holding SA said.
Brazilian power distributors may sign contracts to buy from developers as much as 2,000 megawatts of new capacity during the so-called A-5 auction scheduled for Dec. 20, Marcos Severine said today in a telephone interview from Sao Paulo.
