KGHM Polska Miedz SA said third-quarter profit more than tripled as the copper producer with the largest European mine output benefited from copper prices and the weakening zloty.
Unconsolidated net income, which excludes earnings at certain units such as phone company Telefonia Dialog SA, rose to 3.2 billion zloty ($988.8 million) from 1.02 billion zloty a year earlier, the Lubin, western Poland-based company said in a regulatory statement today.
