Jose Reyes returned from the disabled list after missing 12 games with a strained left hamstring and helped spark the New York Mets to a 4-2 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals.
Reyes went 2-for-5 with a run scored and his defense at shortstop kept the Cardinals from mounting a rally in the eighth inning last night. Reyes first prevented a run with a diving stop and then turned a bases-loaded double play on Albert Pujols to get the Mets out of the inning.
