Russia, NATO Disagree on Future of Missile Shield, Interfax Says

Russia and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization disagree in principle on the future of the European missile-defense system, Interfax cited Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov as saying in Brussels.

The minister said Russia insists on legally binding guarantees that it won’t be targeted by the missile shield, the Moscow-based news agency reported today.
