Chimei Innolux Falls to Two-Year Low After Quarterly Loss

Chimei Innolux Corp. fell to the lowest in more than two years in Taipei trading after Taiwan’s largest maker of liquid-crystal displays posted a first-quarter loss that was wider than analysts’ estimates.
The stock declined 2.4 percent to NT$28.30 at the 1:30 p.m. close in Taipei trading, the lowest since March 3, 2009. Chimei Innolux has slumped 30 percent this year, compared with the 0.3 percent drop in Taiwan’s benchmark Taiex Index.
