Aluminum Stockpiles in Japan Drop for Third Month in March

Aluminum stockpiles in Japan dropped 3.3 percent to 201,200 metric tons at the end of March, the third straight monthly decrease, trading company Marubeni Corp. (8002) said today.
Inventories held in Yokohama, Nagoya and Osaka ports declined last month from 208,100 tons at the end of February, Marubeni said in an e-mailed statement. The company is the largest Japanese importer of the metal used in cars and houses.
