Iraqi lawmakers in Baghdad voted unanimously on appointing three vice presidents, after previously having two people in the post, state-sponsored Iraqiyah television reported.

Adel Abdel Mahdi and Tareq Hashemi will retain their posts and will be joined by former Education Minister Khudeir al-Khuzai, the broadcaster said today. The top security posts still have to be assigned and are currently being overseen by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.
