Egypt’s Army Protects Ministry From Protesters, Mena Reports

Egyptian troops surrounded the Interior Ministry building to prevent protesting policeman and civilian employees who are demanding salary increases from storming it, Egypt’s Middle East News Agency said today.
The protesters are also demanding increased health benefits, it said. Interior Minister Mansour El-Essawy met with the demonstrators and promised to study their demands and to work to solve their problems, Mena said.
