Qatar, China Harbour to Sign $879 Million Contract, QNA Says

Qatar will sign a 3.2 billion-riyal ($879 million) contract with China Harbour Engineering Co. on March 13 for the construction of the first phase of a new port in the Gulf nation, the official Qatari News Agency reported.
China Harbour will be responsible for digging a 17 meter-deep basin and building quays and wave barriers, QNA said. The 14 billion-riyal port will be located near the country’s southern industrial city of Mesaieed.
