The second round of the auction for all or parts of Warner Music Group Corp. (WMG) will involve at least five bidders, including Platinum Equity and Ron Burkle’s Yucaipa Cos., the Financial Times reported, citing unidentified people close to the process.
Sony Music, BMG Music Publishing and Len Blavatnik’s Access Industries Holdings LLC are already known to be in the bidding, the newspaper said.
Yucaipa couldn’t be reached for comment and Warner Music declined to comment, the FT said.
